Since her debut on the world I think its fair to say Gaga is no stranger to paparazzi and being beyond the ordinary; but could we say the same for her parents?

Joanne- the restaurant opened by Gaga’s parents and chef Art Smith on the Upper West Side seemed to get bad reviews on its opening night. Steve Cuozzo’s review of the restaurant left little to the imagination in its negative review of opening night in which he compared the “calamari to leather” to say the least.

The trattoria according to its website seems to offer comforting affordable food that would make me want to try it even after Cuozzo’s critique.

Some, including Cuozzo might say that it is unfair to judge a restaurant based on opening night—i dont like to think so, because the same preparations should go into the first night opening as any night, look at Restaurant Impossible!

However, I like to be the judge myself so I think I might just go take a trip to the UWS to try out some spaghetti and meatballs!
